Inspire. Lead. Sustain
“From the Governor’s Energy Office to Denver Mayor Hickenlooper’s Greenprint Denver, Colorado has been a leader in sustainability. In preparing to produce the greenest political convention in history, the 2008 Democratic National Convention, awareness around sustainable practices catapulted to the spotlight. GMIC Colorado capitalized on this momentum and is educating all stakeholders on how to help pre-serve Colorado’s natural beauty one sustain-able event at a time”. -Lindsay Smith, President of GMIC Colorado
We are proud to be the second fully-formed chapter of the global Green Meeting Industry Council! Chapter members are comprised of industry professionals who have joined together to build a cohesive and innovative green meeting environment in Colorado. Our goal is to work with leaders in Colorado to build on our reputation as one of the greenest regions for meetings and events.
We Want to Hear From You!
look to the past and ask ourselves how best to move forward. Referencing the first sentence of our Mission Statement: GMIC Colorado will serve as a leader, resource, educator, and a conduit of change within the meetings and events industry through sustainable practices, partnerships and programs. And that is just what we intend to do, but we need your help. Last month, we put out a survey to learn more about what you are looking for in a chapter. Please take a moment to visit http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WSTWGDV to take the survey and share your thoughts. Doing so will not only help us serve you better and create true value for your membership, but we will also give $5 off our upcoming program at the Butterfly Pavilion. Or if you wish, please feel free to contact me directly at lsmith@denverconvention.com
